Landscape Photography - Mood/Mono/Mountain

A return to the Northern Fells in the Lake District and a climb to one of the National Parks finest mountains, Blencathra. My hike didn't take me to the famous Eastern arete of Sharp Ridge but I managed to still witness its drama. Starting from Mungrisdale, I headed West up the Bannerdale valley which then took me South to Bannerdale Crags. From viewing the top of Sharp Edge I headed up to the summit before a quick visit to Mungrisdale Common. It was a typical day in the Lakes with regards to the weather. A sunny start to an intermittent drowning from the rain. This lead to my favourite conditions for landscape photography. A day of mood, mono and mountain photography.
